The fantastic people at Playground Games developed this racing heaven. These are the same developers who created the previous Forza Horizon titles, but they did it all this time around! Microsoft Studios assisted them in releasing it, and you can see that they poured their heart and soul into each aspect. From the developer’s attention to detail to make sure that the clouds’ shadows fall on the road correctly, to the way mud clings to your vehicle after driving through the rain, all these developers care deeply about cars and it reflects in every little thing they did to the game.

When Can You Start Racing?
The game initially released on November 9, 2021, and it has been improving ever since. You can play it on your Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, or PC via Windows. The good news? If you have Xbox Game Pass, you can play it now! They release new cars and races every few months, so there’s always something new to play. They just released some awesome new cars last week that I’m dying to try out!

What Makes This Game Special?
Let me tell you what I’m loving about this game! The best part: You have more than 500 cars to play with, the largest map ever in a Forza game, and graphics so beautiful you’ll be taking pictures instead of racing. The changing weather feels realistic – I once began a race in sunlight and ended in a sandstorm! But be aware – you require decent internet for online racing, and the game does occupy a good portion of room on your hard drive. But well worth clearing off that old crap to install it!

Tips From My Racing Diary
Having spent far too many hours racing (don’t inform my boss!) here’s what I discovered: Begin with road racing to acclimatize yourself to your cars. Use rewind when you screw up – everyone makes mistakes! Experiment with different camera angles until you get your sweet spot. I prefer hood cam for racing and drone view for exploring. And don’t forget, join a club! I met some great people who showed me all the shortcuts in Mexico. Oh, and hoard your credits for houses – they provide you with sweet perks such as fast travel and bonus points!
